My favorite summertime treat is the vegan strawberry lime & avocado ice cream from Panhandle Cone & Coffee in Coeur d’Alene. Hand crafted & local, plus they have a gluten free cone. Bonus! - Brittney Long

I love cold acai bowls during the summer! Here in the Coeur d'Alene area, I love the Crunchy Monkey from local favorite The Wellness Bar – either one of their cafes or their truck at the farmers market and events. - S. Michal Bennett

Fair food! Especially the Salomo sandwich at the Oinkari Dancers booth at the Western Idaho Fair. - Sharon Fisher

Whether coming home from Montana or just or coming down from a day in the mountains, I love to stop by Clark Fork Pantry for a huckleberry ice cream or a fresh deli sandwich! - Logan Finney

One of my favorite summer treats in the Boise area is what I think of as "boozy slushie." In particular, I'm a fan of frose (frozen rose wine) and hard cider slushies. Meriwether Cider in Boise is my go-to for a cider slushie, and I've seen frose at Western Collective. They have a whole line of rotating slushes, at the moment including the Prickly Pear Slush made with white wine and prickly pear puree! - Lex Nelson

I'm rather fond of the affogato with chocolate ice cream from Panhandle Cone & Coffee in Moscow. - Anteia Elswick

I’ve never been a fan of Dunkin’ Donuts or Krispy Kremes but I can’t say no to Donut Bros in Pocatello! As an insulin resistant person, it’s helpful that the donuts are so small — I can enjoy one or even two without it making me sick. YUM! - Elise Barker

I prefer to eat huckleberries by the handful directly off the bush – but the huckleberry milkshake at Honey Bear’s Ice Cream Corner in the North Fork River Stop in Kingston hit the spot on a recent super-hot summer day. - Tara Roberts
